Opinion| Mark Sidney| Newsweek, a former propaganda staple of the establishment, brought their lack of credibility back into the national spotlight this Thanksgiving when they published an article entitled “How is Trump spending Thanksgiving? Tweeting, golfing and more.’
Here is a screenshot of the original article:
“As with any other day of the year, Trump will probably be tweeting, or expressing his opinions in another way. On Thanksgiving Eve, Trump tweeted an image of his head on the body of Rocky Balboa, the fictional boxer portrayed by actor Sylvester Stallone in numerous movies,” Kwong stated in her ‘story.’
The reporter responsible for the hilarious failed attempt to bash Trump, Jessica Kwong, was later forced to correct the ‘false news’ piece when Trump showed up, not on Twitter, not on a golf course, not at home, but in a war zone serving the troops Thanksgiving dinner.
Troll level 11.
Upon hearing about the hilariously failed attempt to ‘dunk on Trump,’ the President fired off an epic Tweet:
I thought Newsweek was out of business? https://t.co/3ro4eSJloo
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 29, 2019
His son, social media savant, Donald Trump Jr., blasted the Newsweek ‘reporter’ with the following Tweet:
It wasn’t an “honest mistake” you tried to dunk on Trump and ended up dunking on yourself because you couldn’t resist. Notice how there’s never been a story that broke in Trump’s favor & had to be corrected the other way? These aren’t mistakes, they are a very consistent pattern. https://t.co/HmyrHrOjqB

Womp Womp. When will the left learn that they can not out maneuver Trump? The man always seems to be 4 steps ahead of everyone trying to slay him.
Patriots on social media hung Ms. Kwong out to dry:

Hi @Newsweek – we’re actually on our way back from Afghanistan right now. @realDonaldTrump served Thanksgiving dinner to members of the military & thanked them for their incredible service to our country. Standing by for you to delete this completely false tweet. https://t.co/trYHUNtgxf

Once Team Trump was done lambasting the ‘journalist’ who wrote the epic failure of a hit piece, Newsweek threw her right under the bus too.
The Gateway Pundit Reported:
“Newsweek investigated the failures that led to the publication of the inaccurate report that President Trump spent Thanksgiving tweeting and golfing rather than visiting troops in Afghanistan,” a Newsweek representative told the Washington Examiner. “The story has been corrected, and the journalist responsible has been terminated. We will continue to review our processes and, if required, take further action.”
It seems there is no honor among false news pushers.
To be fair here for a second, the trip was a secret and there was no way that Kwong could have known that Trump was on his way to a war zone halfway around the Earth.
I half way accept her premise that it was an ‘honest mistake,’ in that I would bet that she was unaware of Trump’s true itinerary that day.
However, the fact that she was so eager to try and shame Trump on Thanksgiving goes to show how ‘unbiased’ she really is.
I always say this, but I will say it again: EVERYONE HAS A BIAS! If the MSM would just stop presenting themselves as objective, while they are clearly participants in the coup, at any cost, they would have a lot of respect from Americans.
Here at Illicit Info, we are as biased and opinionated as anyone, perhaps even more so! However, we wear it on our sleeves and never do we try to con readers into thinking that they are getting ‘unbiased’ reporting.
Just be honest with people, they will appreciate honesty much more than getting peed on and told that it is raining.
Shame on Newsweek for firing this woman for writing an article that they were fine with publishing at the time. It was only once the author’s proverbial brains splattered on Newsweek did they throw her under the bus.
Newsweek, everyone knows you are cut from the same cloth, just own it. It is ok to be leftists, I mean, you are allowed to have those views in this country, just stop trying to fool people into thinking you are objective, it is clearly not working.
The folks at Newsweek may also want to read an article or two about loyalty. If the article was good enough for the editor to print, I do not see how you can fault the author.
Yes, I know, I am bashing Newsweek from both sides here. I suppose they were in a no win situation, but using your employee as a scapegoat is only going to make your remaining employees weary of suffering the same fate.
I guess at the end of the day this is just a microcosm of what Trump has done to the fake news media, he is beating them at their own game so badly, that they are destroying themselves.
Weaknews, I mean Newsweek, will never recover from trying to shove lefty opinions down Americans throats under the guise of being honest, trustworth, objective, reporting. Looks like Trump can add another notch to his bat this holiday season ….
